The Subway Sinatra

New York City construction worker Gary Russo has made a habit of serenading 2nd Avenue passers-by with Frank Sinatra standards during his 30-minute lunch breaks.

Armed with a karaoke kit he brings to work every day, Russo, a Local 40 ironworker, attempts to dispel the constant construction noise, if only for a little while.

“Forget all the noise, traffic and the impact of the 2nd Ave. Subway,” reads the sign just behind him. “Enjoy the music.”
